Meet Kiara Hawkins

In 2013 Kiara’s desire for something beyond the standard New York City nail salon experience inspired her to start purchasing nail supplies and experimenting on herself and her friends. Her dedication led her into an apprenticeship laying the foundation for a career built on skill from experienced professionals.

Kiara later opened a private salon servicing clientele from all over the tri-state area. She named the brand Nail Candy after creating nails so sweet they felt indulgent. Her clients quickly became known as the “Candy Girls,” helping the brand name grow within the industry.

​

Kiara’s experience includes high-profile editorial work, touring with celebrity clientele, and instructing students for their professional license. Today, her focus has expanded almost primarily to education.

 

Through the Nail Candy Course, Kiara shares over a decade of industry knowledge, guiding future nail professionals through proper technique, business foundations, and responsible industry practices.

Kiara has earned her A.A. in Communication Arts, is pursuing her B.A. in Communications and is also Pre law. She also holds a Nail Specialty License in New York State and a Manicurist License in Texas State.
